Significant progress has been made in spinning processing technology and product development during the "Eleventh Five Year Plan"

The proportion of knotless yarn in the wool textile industry exceeds 60%, and large and medium-sized wool knitting enterprises basically realize the knotless yarn; Combing products are 100% shuttle free and roughing products are 80% shuttle free. The product quality has been greatly improved, close to the world's advanced level. The popularization and application of silkworm automatic reeling machine has increased the quality level of raw silk by an average of 1.5 grades, and the application proportion has increased from 20% to 85%

The adoption of new technologies such as compact spinning, air-jet spinning, vortex spinning and embedded spinning has enriched the variety of yarn products, greatly improved the count of natural fiber spinning, and significantly improved the yarn quality. In 2009, the production capacity of cotton compact spinning reached 4.43 million spindles, and air-jet spinning and vortex spinning reached 59000 heads. Embedded composite spinning technology has been industrialized in the wool spinning industry, and 500 metric count high count wool yarn has been developed. Industrialization research is being carried out in the cotton and hemp spinning industries. The semi combed wool processing technology has made a breakthrough, and the production capacity reached 1million spindles in 2009, an increase of 700000 spindles over 2005. The carding and modification processing technology of special animal fiber wool has reached the world leading level, and has been applied in cashmere carding enterprises where 25% PLLA can also be made into high-strength surgical suture

technological progress in weaving has improved the quality of textile fabrics. During the 11th Five Year Plan period, fabric processing technology in the textile industry has reached a new level. The extensive application of new electronic jacquard devices, the development of new warp and weft knitted fabrics, the blending and interweaving of various fibers, and the innovation of fabric structure have greatly enriched the variety of textile fabrics by shipping a total of 4 batches of about 79000 tons of lithium concentrate. China's cotton, wool, knitted fabrics and a number of chemical fiber fabrics have reached or approached the international advanced level. At present, the self-sufficiency rate of fabrics in China's textile industry has reached more than 95%. Compared with 2000, the average annual growth rate of fabric exports has exceeded 10%

since the "Eleventh Five Year Plan", although China has made great progress in science and technology in spinning and weaving, the promotion of advanced technology in the whole industry is insufficient, and the coverage is still relatively small. Industrial technology upgrading is mainly concentrated in backbone enterprises with good capital conditions. Due to the lack of industrial technology promotion mechanism and platform, the promotion and application of advanced technology in large and small enterprises still need to be expanded. For example, shuttleless looms, automatic winders and other advanced equipment that have been promoted for many years still account for less than 60% of the cotton textile industry
